Further advice and assistance
Further information is available from the Antarctic Division if you require it. If, however, any of these problems continue, become unmanageable or escalate into more serious problems, parents should seek professional assistance.
The Antarctic Division provides ongoing counselling to all expeditioners and their families for up to six months following return to Australia (see the Employee Assistance Program brochure). To seek assistance does not mean failure - Antarctic separation can cause immense stress on those involved.
The Division hopes that this brochure has been of assistance to you and your family. Please contact the Expeditioner Training and Family Liaison Officer via contact form or by free call on 1800 030 680.or (03) 6232 3209 if you need further help, or you would like a print copy of the Antarctic Separation Brochure.
