Once selected, you should update your vaccinations in preparation for departure in order to prevent carriage of potentially infective conditions to Hobart and onwards to Antarctica.
The Australian influenza season is March to November and vaccination should be undertaken prior to travel to Hobart if at all possible to minimise impact to training programs and to departing expeditioners.
Vaccinations are provided for all expeditioners who require further vaccination, via their station doctors, during the pre-departure period.Additional vaccinations or public health measures may be offered to specific groups depending on health risk assessments of proposed activities.
