Depositing your cargo

Your cargo allowance will depend upon whether you are a wintering or summering expeditioner.

You will have been notified of the amount you are able to take by letter. General cargo information is available on our website

You can get your cargo to Antarctica in one of 3 ways:

  • If you are a winterer, the AAD will collect up to 250 kg from home via a national transport company
  • You can deliver cargo to the AAD Cargo Operations Facility at the Macquarie No 4 Wharf. Use the phone at the gate to alert staff and you will be permitted entry.
  • You can deliver cargo to the AAD Store at Kingston.

You will need to deliver your cargo by the specified cut-off date.
