Congratulations! You've been accepted into the Australian Antarctic program (AAp) and you'll start at the AAD Head Office at Hobart. What is the process that awaits you?

You will participate in a range of activities at Kingston, as outlined in these web pages. Predeparture is a busy time and some expeditioners are located at Head Office for several months. Others pass through very quickly.

Generally, most expeditioners will then either board the A319 Airbus for an intercontinental air flight to Casey, or voyage south on the ship.
