The Committee has a working relationship with Names Committees in other countries. Names for features in the Australian Antarctic Territory (AAT) are also regularly provided to a Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research SCAR Antarctic Gazetteer for the whole Antarctic continent. The names are arranged with the specific part of the name first. Mid positions of features have been adopted for the geographical location.

The gazetteer is updated weekly. The Australian Antarctic Territory and Heard Island and the McDonald Islands are available now. Macquarie Island is in preparation.
