AAD Environmental Policy and Guide

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) of the Commonwealth Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities is responsible for achieving Australia's Antarctic goals:

• To maintain the Antarctic Treaty System and enhance Australia's influence in it
• To protect the Antarctic environment
• To understand the role of Antarctica in the global climate system
• To undertake scientific work of practical, economic and national significance

In doing this, the AAD will undertake environmental commitments to ensure that relevant activities are supported environmentally. To that extent Contractors and/or Tenderers or potential Tenderers involved in business opportunities with the AAD must be cognisant of the AAD Environmental Policy and Guidleines.
