Premiership parade and party at the Pole

Expeditioners at Casey station are planning a premiership parade as part of their AFL grand final celebrations tomorrow.

Half of the 23 wintering expeditioners will drive down the main (and only) street in two four-wheel drives and a Hagglunds vehicle waving to the 'crowds' as the other half of the group cheer them on and wave team flags.

Everyone will dress up in grand final teams' colours to take part in the festivities and watch the game being streamed from the internet on to a wide screen.

Electrician Paul Deverall said the forecast of minus 18 degrees would not stop the fans on station from having a half-time kick.

"The forecast for the grand final is no wind, so it should be quite balmy," Mr Deverall said.

Station Leader Narelle Campbell said there will also be the traditional tossing of the pre-match coin, a fake grand final cup on display and a BBQ on the day.
