Daniel O’Reilly was the Australian Construction Services Leader at Casey in 1983, at Mawson in 1985, and at Davis for the summer of 1987/88.

Daniel was the driving force behind getting material ashore at Davis in 1987/88, thus enabling the lock-up of Davis Sleeping and Medical quarters 12 months ahead of what might otherwise have been expected. The material was towed across the ice for about five kilometres on sledges to the station.
